There were floods in the country and the government called on stake holders to come on board and help the situation, however that seems not bad there was need for government to prepare for such eventualities. The press release retaliated the governments' need to prepare because it was articulated for in the constitution.en
The Jesuit Centre for Theological Reflection (JCTR) sympathises with over 700 families affected by recent flash floods in some parts of the country. The damage caused is however a wakeup call for the nation to build capacity to deal with rain water in a safe and productive way. There is, however, no excuse for not planning for such eventualities which unfold each year; leaving the affected in the face of severe food insecurity and displacement from homes. Further recommendations were made on how to tackle future floods the country may face in the future.en
