Abstract
Human beings are created to praise, reverence and serve God our Lord and by means of doing this to save-their sows. The other things on the face of this earth are created for the human beings, to help them in the pursuit of the end for which they are created. From this it follows that' we ought to use -these things to the extent that they help us toward Our end, and free ourselves from them to the extent that they hinder us from it

The most interesting thing for me to ask myself as a young Jesuit scholastic is whether can teach someone else the advantages of conserving nature when to myself it seems so strange a thing? Proposing to a fellow scholastic here in Kimwenza that we should start a vegetable garden at the edge of the campus, i received this as an answer: "l am here to solve the problems of Africa.
