dc.description.abstract	This survey was conducted on 29th – 30th December 2014 by the Social and Economic Development Programme of the Jesuit Centre for Theological Reflection. Average prices were calculated on the basis of surveys conducted at Town Centre Market, Dambwa Market, Maramba Market, Mbita Market, Elaine Brittel Market, Kashitu Market and Town Centre Shoprite. Additional information was obtained from ZESCO, the Southern Water and Sewerage Company and schools, clinics and houses around Livingstone. The December Basic Needs Basket is approximately US$513 based upon the average exchange rate of K 6.3512 per US$ prevailing the days of data collection. Please note that other monthly costs would include personal care, clothing, etc.	en
