| dc.description.abstract | This survey was conducted on 30th October, 2014 by the Social and Economic Development Programme of the Jesuit Centre for Theological Reflection. Average prices were calculated on the basis of surveys conducted at Limulunga Market, Mulambwa Market, Central Market, Town Centre Market, Imwiko market and Town Centre Shoprite. Additional information was obtained from ZESCO, the Western Water and Sewerage Company and schools, clinics and houses around Mongu. The October Basic Needs Basket is approximately US$309 based upon the exchange rate of K 6.3905 per US$ prevailing on the day of data collection.
